Dr. Karan Mody
DDS · With the practice since 2014
A dentist who listens before treating, and ends an appointment when the work is done, not when the clock says.
General and restorative dentistry in the Rose Garden, trained at the University of the Pacific's Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry. Honest work, unhurried by design, with no rotating doctors and no upsells.
On listening before treating.
Karan Mody joined the practice in 2014, drawn to the way he believes dentistry should be practiced: appointments end when the work is done, not when the clock says so. He trained at the University of the Pacific's Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco, where the program builds restorative skill while focusing heavily on developing a reassuring, compassionate chairside approach.
That combination sets the rhythm he still keeps today. Examine carefully, explain what's actually wrong, recommend only what's needed. There is a particular kind of patience required for restorative work (crowns and bridges that have to feel right for years), and it is the same patience he brings to a recall exam for a six-year-old.
Some of the patients who first came to see him in his second year here now bring their children. A few bring their parents too. That continuity is something he takes seriously.
What Dr. Mody treats.
Restorative
Crowns, bridges, and fillings built to function correctly for years, not just to pass the exam at the next appointment.
Preventive
Regular exams and cleanings that catch the actual problems early. No unnecessary X-rays, no manufactured urgency.
Surgical Treatment
Many surgical procedures done in-house: extractions, bone grafts, implants.
Cosmetic
Veneers and whitening for patients who want them, not as a default recommendation on every chart.
He shows you what he sees, tells you what he'd do, then asks what you'd like to do. After more than a decade with him, I still leave every visit feeling like he gave us the time we needed.
